Today, scientists announced a major breakthrough in preventing the spread of viruses like SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. A team of researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles has created a "nanosuit" that can target and destroy viruses before they make us sick. This nanosuit is made up of tiny particles that form a protective layer around a virus, trapping it in place and preventing it from spreading. It can be used to make masks, clothing, and other materials that can help protect us from the spread of potentially dangerous viruses. Researchers hope that this technology may eventually help protect us from future pandemics.

Short Trip to Beach

Prompt: Write a short first-person narrative about a teenager’s memorable trip to a west-cost beach with their dad.
I was so excited to take a road trip with my dad to the west coast! I'd heard that the beaches there were beautiful, and I was ready for an adventure.
The drive was long but really fun. We made frequent stops for snacks and to take pictures along the way.
When we finally arrived at the beach we were both in awe. There were miles of sand and the water was a beautiful turquoise color. It was unlike anything I had seen before.
My dad and I spent the day enjoying the sunshine and walking through the beach. We even built a sand castle and jumped the waves.
It was the most memorable trip I've ever taken with my dad and a day I will never forget.
