Chocolate-Vanilla Matcha Latte

I love having a matcha latte in the morning. It has fantastic flavors of matcha, chocolate, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon. Matcha is one of the most antioxidant-rich drinks, with around 137x the antioxidants of regular green tea.

Preparation Time: 5 Minutes

Chilling Time: 3-5 Minutes

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon matcha powder (feel free to use more for a more potent drink) (affiliate link)

1 cup milk of your choice (I use soy milk)

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (affiliate link)

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder (affiliate link)

Sweetener of your choice (I use two packets of stevia extract [affiliate link])

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cup.
  2. Using a hand blender on a low setting, blend for about one minute making sure that there are no clumps and the consistency is smooth (If you do not have a hand blender, use a regular blender or shake the mixture in a sealed container.)
  3. Pour the drink onto the ice in a separate glass and let set for 3-5 minutes to chill.
  4. Enjoy!

Cooking Tip:

Make sure to pour the mixture into a separate glass or you may have clumps of very bitter matcha.
